Louie Lounge began as a promise to the owners of The California Building: a room downstairs worth coming home to. What started as a private parlor for residents has become one of Tulane Avenue's quietest addresses — a low-lit room of brass, velvet, and slow-poured drinks, hidden behind a door most passersby walk straight past.
We keep the lights low, the music warmer than the street, and the door unmarked on purpose. Members and building residents let themselves in. Everyone else finds us by word of mouth, a nightly password, or a good concierge.

Residents, Guests & Members
California Building residents and hotel guests enter freely with a room key or fob. Members receive a standing table. A limited number of walk-in seats open at the bar after 9pm, once the band settles in.

Elevated, Not Stuffy
Smart and after-dark — think tailored, not tourist. Reservations recommended Thursday through Saturday and held for fifteen minutes past booking time.
